“The support I have received from management and my colleagues assisting with training has been incredible.”
Ensuring I am delivering top quality patient care, following all the correct policies and procedures and aiming to try each day, to go above and beyond to assist every caller where I can, and if I can’t, then passing this on to the relevant team who are then able to assist.
As I have recently taken on the role of a training mentor, I try to ensure that the training is delivered to the best of my ability and that I am providing all the relevant information to equip the team to be able to assist callers and provide accurate information.
To ensure I am doing my job to the best of my ability and ensuring the correct procedures are followed. Also, that I’m providing the correct information and ensuring the patients are receiving a positive experience.
This was my first role after graduating and I came here with the intention of gaining assistant psychologist experience.
The level of support you receive considering this is a remote role. I anticipated that it may be quite isolating working from home, but the team are fantastic and it's honestly one of the most supportive environments I have ever worked in.
To be able to log off at the end of the day knowing that I have helped patients and made a difference. In my new role as training mentor, I want to be able to assist the team members and receive feedback that they have found the training helpful. It always provides a sense of accomplishment at the end of the day.
It can be hard when we have to exclude patients when we are unable to offer assessments. I came in to this line of work to help and make a difference, so it is hard, but I try to remind myself that we can only offer appointments to those we can fully support, and that maybe they are best suited seeking support elsewhere.
As Assistant Psychologists we get monthly supervision with a Clinical Psychologist. We also have monthly 1-1's with our team lead and weekly team meetings. We also have a number of team chats with colleagues who are able to support and advise when needed. In my training mentor role, the support I have received from management and my colleagues assisting with training has been incredible.
Do not hesitate, I think they are a great company to work for. I previously worked in the NHS in a busy hospital setting and never experienced support to this level until I came to work here.
