Everything you need to know
Got a question about working with us as a self-employed or employed clinician? Find out more about the work we do, how to apply, the recruitment process and what it's like to work with us.
Self-employed clinicians engaged by Clinical Partners use ADOS and/or ADI-r for Autism assessments.
For ADHD assessments, Self-employed clinicians engaged by Clinical Partners use DIVA or Young DIVA and Conners.
We do have a small number of employed clinical roles, such as Medication Management Specialists and within our Clinical Leadership Team, however, the majority of our clinical services are delivered by self-employed clinicians.
Our services are delivered by a range of clinical professions including Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Registered Nurses, Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Non-Medical Prescribers and Pharmacists. Provided you have the appropriate professional registration and additional certifications plus the relevant experience, we can engage you to deliver services.
The majority of self-employed clinicians deliver services for Autism or ADHD assessment, or ADHD prescribing. The qualifications and experience required are detailed in adverts but if you have any further questions, please contact our recruitment team at recruitment@clinical-partners.co.uk.
We require all clinicians to have a minimum of two years’ relevant experience. While we appreciate that everyone starts somewhere, we are not currently set up to provide the level of support, supervision, and development that practitioners with less experience would typically need. For this reason, we are unable to consider applications that do not meet this requirement.
If you don’t have the necessary experience to be engaged by us, you can choose to be added to our Talent Pool and we will get back in touch with you about future opportunities.
Once you have submitted an application on our careers site, a member of our recruitment team will review your application within 48 hours. If your background and experience match our service requirements, we will arrange a short screening call with a member of our recruitment team to gather any additional information needed. If you are successful at screening, we will book you in for an ‘Assessment for Contracted Services’ with one of our Senior Clinicians.
Depending on your availability, the screening and assessment process usually takes about two weeks. Compliance checking can be done as quickly as three weeks but this depends on how quickly you have provided us with the required information, including details of your professional registration, proof of qualifications, DBS and Right to Work checks etc.
If you are successful, the Recruitment Team will notify you and our Onboarding team will issue you with a contract for services and will take you through compliance checks in line with NHS Employment Check Standards and CQC safer recruitment requirements.
Let our recruitment team know and we will work with you to consider appropriate adjustments where possible.
No, we’re not currently able to offer shadowing, but you will have access to all information and resources before your first referral.
We do not provide CPD as part of our service.
Clinical supervision is provided to our employed clinical colleagues and is delivered by appropriately qualified clinicians to support reflective practice, professional development, clinical decision-making and high standards of care. Self-employed clinicians are responsible for maintaining their own professional supervision arrangements and exercising their own clinical judgement in line with professional and regulatory standards. All clinicians are expected to work in accordance with Clinical Partners' clinical governance, quality and safeguarding requirements.
You will have access to a portal where you can indicate your availability and accept work on a case-by-case basis between the hours of 8am – 8pm, Monday to Sunday. You can amend or remove your availability at any time. There is no obligation for Clinical Partners to offer work, nor for you to accept it.
All reports should be submitted within seven calendar days, subject to clinical judgements.
Self-employed clinicians submit monthly invoices for work completed in the previous month. Once received, payment is usually processed in the next available pay run.
