“Clinical Partners is a highly adaptive organisation. The growth of the company has been remarkable.”
My primary focus is the day-to-day security of our environment, ensuring vulnerabilities are addressed through timely patching and updates. I also proactively monitor our Microsoft environment to identify opportunities for improvement. In addition, I work closely with the systems team to ensure our platforms integrate and communicate effectively, supporting a secure and dynamic working environment.
In my role, maintaining high standards means ensuring systems are secure, processes are well documented, and communication with the team is clear and consistent. When I take on a task, I aim to do it right the first time, which is why I invest time in thorough research. I also value detailed documentation to ensure nothing is missed, and I maintain an ongoing list of tasks to stay organised and productive.
From my first Interview I could see I clicked well with the team, which for me is important. Not only that but the company values were presented to me at the time of the Interview and I feel these sat with me personally. I am positive, I care about what I do, and I always aim high no matter what the task or project is I am tackling.
Clinical Partners is a highly adaptive organisation. The growth of the company has been remarkable, and despite its size, there is a strong willingness to learn and evolve. Whether it’s gaining a deeper understanding of new software, adapting to process changes, or embracing the responsible adoption of AI, the organisation consistently demonstrates openness and flexibility. There is a genuine culture of listening and collaboration, with teams readily supporting one another to ensure positive change is implemented effectively.
In my role, there is always something to work on and always something new on the horizon, which is what I enjoy most. I work extensively with Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Defender to monitor endpoint security and identify, recommend, and implement improvements. The day-to-day reliability of our devices depends heavily on the effectiveness of this environment, which makes the work particularly meaningful to me. By ensuring staff have a secure and efficient endpoint to work from, I help support their ability to carry out their roles effectively and ultimately contributing to the delivery of patient care.
My role can be challenging at times, particularly when communicating change to others. I recognise that I often approach situations from a technical perspective and explaining the rationale behind changes I believe are necessary for the organisation can sometimes be difficult. While I understand that change is not always immediately welcomed, I make a conscious effort to see things from others’ perspectives. I am always open to arranging a call or meeting to clearly explain my reasoning, share insights and provide direct support where needed.
I am supported by a well-structured team, and while I am currently the sole Cyber Security Engineer within the organisation, I always feel there is someone I can turn to when needed. My manager provides strong support in decision-making and actively encourages my development by helping to identify training opportunities and clear pathways to enhance my skills.
I would say it would be a great opportunity to work with a fast growing and diverse company. Not afraid to adapt or listen to employees. I think the people at Clinical Partners all have the same values in common which is evident on a day-to-day basis working with them.
