“As the company continues to grow, there’s a real opportunity to shape how we evolve and make a meaningful impact on the future of mental healthcare.”
I focus on improving our scheduling infrastructure: that is how we connect patients with clinicians in a seamless, efficient way. A key part is empowering patients with the right tools and information to navigate their journey with us, with clarity and confidence. Looking ahead, I’m also thinking about how we can become the provider of choice for mental healthcare, both nationally and beyond.
For me, it means ensuring that everything we design and build contributes to better mental health outcomes over time. Patient safety is non-negotiable. That sometimes requires making deliberate trade-offs, which we align on closely with both business and technical teams.
I was looking for a mission-driven organisation where my work could have a direct, positive impact on people’s lives. More importantly, improving access and equity in mental health care is something I care deeply about, so the opportunity to contribute to this space stood out for me.
How much we have grown as a company, across technology, people and processes to effectively support our growing patient population. You can feel there is a strong sense of momentum and ambition.
A good day involves speaking with our internal users, understanding their pain points, and using that insight to shape our thinking with the engineers. It’s still early days for our product squad, but making tangible progress towards our quarterly goals already feels meaningful.
Balancing immediate needs with longer-term opportunities can be sometimes challenging. I try to stay focused on identifying the areas where we can have the most impact for our users and work collaboratively to move those forward.
I feel well supported by my peers and manager. There’s a strong culture of openness, which means I can be transparent about challenges and work through them together. For example, we have regular weekly product and design sessions where we openly discuss ideas, challenge each other’s assumptions and ensure we’re applying rigorous thinking to the decisions we make.
It’s an exciting time to join. As the company continues to grow, there’s a real opportunity to shape how we evolve and make a meaningful impact on the future of mental healthcare.
