I look after the data platform and the engineering behind it, so people can get hold of good data without everything being harder than it needs to be.

For me it’s about building things properly — reliable, clear, and useful — not just getting something over the line and calling it done.

It felt like a good opportunity to build something worthwhile in a business where better data can actually have a real impact.

Probably how much people care. There’s a lot of good intent here, and people do genuinely want to make things better.

A good day is sorting something properly, unblocking people, and ending up with something that works better than it did before.

Usually, it’s too many things competing for attention at once, so I try to cut through the noise and focus on the bit that actually matters.

I work with good people who are thoughtful, open and willing to get stuck into problems, which makes a big difference.
