“Clinical Partners feels modern, flexible, and supportive. The flexibility has allowed me to develop myself while studying.”
As a Case Handler, I investigate and respond to patient complaints, ensuring concerns are considered thoroughly, fairly, and in line with regulatory and organisational requirements. My role involves reviewing clinical and administrative records, speaking with colleagues across different departments, identifying opportunities for learning, and producing detailed written responses for patients and families.
High standards in my role mean carrying out thorough, fair, and objective investigations into patient concerns, ensuring every complaint is reviewed carefully against the available evidence. It is important that patients feel listened to and understood, while also ensuring responses are accurate, balanced, and transparent.
I joined Clinical Partners five years ago whilst studying psychology, looking for an opportunity to gain practical experience in a clinical environment, develop my understanding of healthcare services, and contribute to meaningful patient outcomes. Clinical Partners provided the ideal setting to build my career while supporting high-quality clinical care.
Since joining, my experience within the organisation has strengthened my interest in psychology and professional development. This has led me to pursue a Masters degree in Occupational Psychology, allowing me to further develop my understanding of human behaviour, wellbeing, and organisational effectiveness. It's been rewarding to continue growing my career alongside my studies while contributing to improving patient experience and service quality.
What surprised me most about Clinical Partners was how modern and progressive the organisation feels, both in its approach to the industry and in the working environment.
A good day is one where I've been able to help resolve concerns, provide clear answers to patients, and identify opportunities to improve the service we provide. My role involves working with colleagues across different teams to investigate complaints thoroughly, so it's particularly rewarding when collaboration leads to a positive outcome or valuable learning.
One of the more challenging aspects of my role is managing complex or emotionally sensitive complaints, particularly when multiple perspectives and large amounts of information need to be carefully reviewed. It is important to ensure that every concern is thoroughly investigated while maintaining empathy and fairness throughout the process.
Working within complaints and governance often involves collaborating with colleagues from different departments, which helps ensure investigations are thorough and balanced.
