“The biggest and most rewarding surprise was seeing how genuinely committed everyone is to doing what’s best for our patients and for each other.”
In my role, I focus on leading the administration team and creating a well‑organised, supportive environment where the team can work efficiently and confidently. I take responsibility for coordinating clinician availability, managing team schedules, and ensuring clinic openings run smoothly so that our service operates without disruption. I also provide wide‑ranging support across operational, governance and HR‑related matters, contributing to the consistency, quality and overall effectiveness of the service.
High standards in my role mean showing up consistently, staying organised, and making sure things run smoothly for the team and our clinicians. For me, that looks like keeping schedules accurate, communicating clearly, and supporting people in a way they can rely on. I try to set a positive tone for the admin team by paying attention to the details, staying approachable and doing what’s best for our colleagues and patients.
When I joined, I was seeking a position that matched my personal values and gave me the chance to use my strengths in people‑focused work and supporting those around me.
The biggest and most rewarding surprise was seeing how genuinely committed everyone is to doing what’s best for our patients and for each other, really putting people first.
A good day for me is one where I’m helping people, working collaboratively, ticking off my to-do list, coordinating tasks, supporting my team and liaising with the wider organisation. I’m at my best when I can use my people skills, contribute meaningfully to colleagues and patients. By the end of the day, I like feeling that I’ve made real progress and a positive difference - and it never hurts if it also includes some good coffee along the way.
My day can become more challenging when we’re dealing with complex cases or situations. I manage this by taking each case one at a time, working collaboratively and reaching out for support whenever it’s needed.
I’m supported not only by my line manager but also by the wider business support functions - IT, HR, Clinical Governance, the Leadership Team, and the Learning Team. I always feel comfortable asking questions, knowing there’s always someone who can offer guidance.
If you’re looking for a team that truly cares about people including both colleagues and patients, you’ll feel at home here.
