As the Financial Controller I focus on ensuring financial integrity of the business and supporting informed decision-making. That includes the following:
Month-end close
Maintaining strong financial controls
Managing statutory and compliance requirements
Leading the day-to-day operations of the finance function.
High standards mean accuracy, transparency and accountability in everything we do. From a finance perspective, that's about ensuring the numbers are robust and can be trusted, but also about creating an environment where the team feel supported and motivated to do their best work.
In many finance roles, it can be difficult to see the direct impact of your work. I wanted to be part of an organisation where the purpose was clear and meaningful. Clinical Partners stood out because its core mission is to make a real difference to people's lives, and that's something I wanted to contribute to.

A good day is one where I've been productive and able to move things forward, whether that's progressing key pieces of work or solving problems. What makes it meaningful though, is supporting others - helping someone in the team work through a challenge or find a solution and seeing their confidence grow as a result.
As a growing business focused on helping more patients, priorities can shift quickly and there's often a need to adapt at pace. That can be challenging, but it's also what makes the role interesting. The key is working collaboratively, staying flexible, and not being afraid to ask for support when needed.
There's a strong sense of teamwork within the finance function. We stay closely connected, share knowledge, and support each other when things get busy. There's always someone willing to help, which makes a big difference, especially in a fast-paced environment.
