Resource Manager

We are offering a new and exciting position to an experienced Resource Manager who will be responsible for analysing, forecasting, and planning for current and future workforce needs. You will also ensure clinician utilisation is maximised while prioritising clinician wellbeing and ensuring patient safety and satisfaction.

The successful candidate will be an experienced leader in workforce planning and management. Although it’s not essential, it would be advantageous to have experience within a healthcare environment or a role with clearly transferrable skills. You will have a strong commercial acumen and the ability to develop and maintain excellent relationships across multiple departments.

Roles and responsibilities:
• Be responsible for forecasting the company’s demand for clinicians by working with the operational areas of the business and plan resource allocation to maximise use, using monthly audits to implement this.
• Work cross-functionally to understand any business changes and manage how that may impact demand, recruitment needs, engagement with current workforce.
• Establish and manage a bank of clinician’s who can support short term peaks in demand, minimising the use of agency staff.
• Be responsible for effective clinician utilisation, moving between contracts or different areas of the business, liaising with other departments, to ensure all resources are being maximised.
• Responsible for identifying development requirements in relation to digitalising workforce planning, new systems and leading their implementation.
• Support clinician management such as overseeing annual leave, ensuring CPD is up to date, payment matters and escalating any serious concerns over performance.
• Manage clinician inductions and support the interview process. 

Requirements:
• Proven experience in workforce planning and management
• Excellent excel, data analysis and systems experience .
• Experience with developing and maintaining a large number of relationships.
• Experience of reporting KPIs and creating dashboards to senior management and boards.
• Ability to gain the trust, respect and influence with individuals across the team, focusing on clinicians.
• Engage with clinicians pro-actively and maintain regular and effective communication with them using a range of methods and approaches.
• Ability to apply diplomacy and tact to effectively communicate with highly educated workforce.
